National Innovation Assessment
Providing an evidence base to guide policy, investment, and institutional reform.
The National Innovation Assessment, co-created with stakeholders from the Government of Mozambique, the private sector, and academic institutions under the CTCN Technical Assistance framework, provides the analytical foundation for Mozambique’s National Innovation System (NIS). It maps institutional capacities, ecosystem linkages, and resource flows that drive innovation performance across sectors.
Through this collaborative process, the assessment identifies opportunities to strengthen coordination, mobilize financing, and expand innovation capabilities. Its findings inform the National Innovation System Framework and Implementation Roadmap, guiding targeted investments, institutional reforms, and cross-sector collaboration to position Mozambique’s innovation ecosystem as a catalyst for inclusive, low-carbon, and climate-resilient growth.
